A Very Special Day

-----
In
our travels we have met many wonderful people. They come in all ages
and sizes, colors and personalities. On this day, over thirty years ago,
a seed sprouted and a little plant started to grow. Soon it was transplanted
because where it was growing was not good for its health. The plant grew
larger but without proper nurturing, it only survived. It was transplanted
again.
Through storms and winds, sunshine and rain,
the plant shook and bend, grew and strengthened. As it grew it became more
and more beautiful. Its spirit glowed, its stature beamed. Plants around
it paled to it beauty as it transformed through struggles and challenges.
Now she has supported the sprouting of more
growing plants and nurtures them with the wisdom of experience and shelters
them with bravery and fortitude. Today we celebrate the birth of our most
beautiful daughter. Today we thank God for transplanting her into our lives.
Today we feel a love for her and from her beyond words. Today is Becky's
day, and we're so proud to be a part of it.
